On October 10th, Altrusan Jean Annucci gave a presentation about the Days for Girls movement to the Women of Grace from the Grace United Methodist Church in St. Augustine. Jean shared the background of the movement and how it’s making a difference in the lives of girls and women throughout the world by providing them with menstrual health solutions and education. She also explained how Altrusa, St. Augustine, District 3, and Internationally is participating in this movement. More specifically, St. Augustine Altrusans are collecting items for the kits as well as sending money to the Days for Girls headquarters.
The funds raised at Altrusa’s Chili Challenge on Saturday, October 19th from 11 AM to 2 PM at Watson Realty on Route 1 South in St. Augustine will be used to fund the materials used to build the menstrual kits.For more information about the Chili Challenge or Days for Girls movement, contact Jean at 904-797-2723 or Days for Girls.
