The ASTRA motto is “Growing in Service”
February 27, 2024 marked a momentous occasion for our community as we celebrated the charter ceremony of the ASTRA Club at St. John’s Academy! With twenty passionate new members, the event was a vibrant testament to the spirit of service, leadership, and unity that defines our school.
The ceremony was graced by a diverse group of attendees, including new members, parents, our dedicated teachers, fellow students, and esteemed Altrusans, all gathered to support this significant milestone. The highlight? The swearing-in of the new officers through a unique sand-pouring ceremony, symbolizing the unity and strength of our collective efforts to make a positive impact.
ASTRA’s journey has already begun with impactful service projects like its mentoring program, Thanksgiving food drive, and Helping Hands project, touching lives and fostering a culture of kindness and support within our community.
As the students embark on this exciting new chapter, they are filled with optimism and determination to continue making a difference. In honor of National Volunteer Week, ASTRA of St Johns Academy has contributed over 375 hours of volunteer work during this school year, embodying the spirit of selfless service.
